I grew up in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from University of North Texas specializing in Human Cognition andOrganizational Psychology. While pursuing a Master's degree in Human ResourceDevelopment, I discovered my calling to public school education. My role as a middle school science teacher sharpened my vision to be precision-focused on empowerment, access, equity and social emotional learning for young people. With these goals in mind, I earned my Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from University of Texas at Arlington.
During my free time, I enjoy celebrating the little things in life with my boy/girl toddler twins, building community with friends and family, going on hikes, exploring new places, and learning about/engaging in equity work in the field of education.
I am looking forward to meeting our students and families! I am eager to build something truly impactful and joyful together!

I am going into my 4th year as an administrator in AISD. I taught Spanish & was the AVID Site Coordinator at an AVID National DemonstrationSchool. I received my bachelor's degree from Rowan University & master's atUniversity of Texas Arlington.
I look forward to building & creating are imagined school alongside educators who are passionate about providing limitless opportunities for our scholars to THRIVE! Go Rams!
Kendall Omick (she/her)
6th Grade Assistant Principal
Education has always been Kendall Omick’s passion. She completed her undergraduate degree in Applied Learning & Development from UT Austin in 2015 and her Master's in Education: School Counseling from TCU in 2017. She began her career in 2017 as an ESL teacher at McBee Elementary in the Austin ISD. Omick's dedication to fostering educational excellence is exemplified through her initiatives of organizing community events, participating in numerous committees, and serving as an ambassador for the Austin Ed Fund. She co-established a multi-grade level bi-literacy program enhancing collaboration and mentorship among students and community members. In 2023, Omick was accepted into the UT Principal Leadership Academy and AISD’s Principal Residency Program, transitioning into administration. She spearheads initiatives aimed at enhancing cultural proficiency and intervention opportunities. Her proactive approach to professional development and sustained implementation ensures the ongoing growth and success of all stakeholders. She is excited to start her journey as an assistant principal at General Marshall Middle School, where she aims to become a foundational administrator making transformative change through an equitable lens.
