Dear Dr. General Marshall Middle School Community,

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new Interim Principal of Dr. General Marshall Middle School. I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve this incredible community, and I look forward to working alongside each of you as we continue the proud legacy of Dr. General Marshall.

For the past 13 years, I have had the privilege of serving students and educators across multiple levels of education, including elementary, middle, and high school. While each experience has shaped me as an educator and leader, my heart has always belonged in middle school. These years are some of the most important in a young person's life, and the opportunity to positively impact students during this stage of growth, discovery, and transformation is both meaningful and invaluable. That is why I am especially excited to return to middle school and begin this new journey with the Dr. General Marshall Middle School community.

Most recently, I served as an Assistant Principal at Dr. W. Charles Akins Early College High School, where I had the privilege of partnering with students, families, and staff to foster a culture of high expectations, meaningful relationships, and student success. In this role, I worked to support both the academic and social-emotional growth of students while collaborating with teachers to strengthen instruction and create systems that ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive. These experiences have reinforced my belief that strong relationships, open communication, and a shared commitment to student success are the foundation of a successful school community.

Building strong relationships starts with listening, learning, and connecting, and I look forward to meeting our students, families, staff, and community partners while learning about the traditions, strengths, and aspirations that make Dr. General Marshall Middle School a special place. 

I am truly honored to serve as your Interim Principal and look forward to partnering with all of you to make this an exceptional school year.

Con gran emoción y gratitud me presento como la nueva directora interina de la Escuela Secundaria Dr. General Marshall. Me siento verdaderamente honrada de tener la oportunidad de servir a esta increíble comunidad y espero trabajar junto a cada uno de ustedes a medida que continuemos el orgulloso legado del Dr. General Marshall.

Durante los últimos 13 años, he tenido el privilegio de servir a estudiantes y educadores en varios niveles educativos, incluyendo primaria, secundaria y preparatoria. Aunque cada experiencia me ha formado como educadora y líder, mi corazón siempre ha estado en la secundaria. Estos años son unos de los más importantes en la vida de un joven, y la oportunidad de tener un impacto positivo en los estudiantes durante esta etapa de crecimiento, descubrimiento y transformación es tanto significativa como invaluable. Por eso estoy especialmente emocionada de regresar a una escuela secundaria y comenzar esta nueva trayectoria con la comunidad de la Escuela Secundaria Dr. General Marshall.

Recientemente fungí como subdirectora en la Escuela Preparatoria de Universidad Temprana Dr. W. Charles Akins, donde tuve el privilegio de colaborar con estudiantes, familias y personal para fomentar una cultura de altas expectativas, relaciones significativas y éxito estudiantil. En este rol, trabajé para apoyar el crecimiento tanto académico como socioemocional de los estudiantes y al mismo tiempo colaborar con los maestros para fortalecer la instrucción y crear sistemas que garanticen que cada estudiante tenga la oportunidad de salir adelante. Estas experiencias han reforzado mi creencia en que las relaciones sólidas, la comunicación abierta y un compromiso compartido con el éxito estudiantil son la base de una comunidad escolar exitosa.

Establecer relaciones sólidas comienza por escuchar, aprender y ponerse en conexión, y espero conocer a nuestros estudiantes, familias, personal y socios comunitarios mientras aprendo sobre las tradiciones, fortalezas y aspiraciones que hacen tan especial a la Escuela Secundaria Dr. General Marshall. 

Me siento realmente honrada de ser su directora interina y espero colaborar con todos ustedes para hacer de este un ciclo escolar excepcional.
