A HUGE Thank You to our PTA & Volunteers:
A giant shoutout to our amazing PTA and all our parent and staff volunteers who helped make our very first Homecoming Dance a resounding success! It was a fantastic Friday night filled with great energy, fun, and memorable moments. Our students looked incredible dressed in their best homecoming outfits and had an absolute blast! We couldn't have pulled this off without the time, dedication, and heart our PTA and volunteers put into creating such a special night for our school community.
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month!:
We also want to give a special shoutout to our incredible Student Council leaders and Mr. Thompson for organizing and leading our Hispanic Heritage Month Assembly! Our student leaders did a phenomenal job running the program and speaking during the event. A heartfelt thank you as well to all of our amazing student performers whose talent and energy made the assembly truly unforgettable!
Scheduling & Master Schedule Update:
We have reached a major milestone with our schedule adjustments, we are officially done with big schedule moves and leveling. At this stage, our counseling team is strictly focusing on resolving individual schedule errors or conflicts. If your student still has a scheduling question or needs support, please reach out directly to their assigned Assistant Principal and Counselor.
NJHS Halloween Costume Drive:
Our National Junior Honor Society is hosting a Halloween Costume Drive! Please consider dropping off gently used costumes in the front office. We will be accepting donations from October 13th through October 23rd. Thank you for supporting our community and helping every student enjoy the season!
Highlighting Fine Arts: Upcoming Events This Week!
We have a wonderful week ahead celebrating our talented students in Fine Arts! Mark your calendars and come out to support our performing artists:
Orchestra & Guitar Fall Concert: Tuesday at 6:30 PM
Ram Drama Presents Queens: Friday at 6:30 PM
We hope to see you all there to celebrate and cheer on our students!
Athletic Event Policy Update: To ensure a safe environment for all spectators, please note that any student attending an athletic event, whether hosted on our campus or at an away venue, must be accompanied by their parent, legal guardian, or a designated trusted adult who will be responsible for them throughout the event. Schedules As we are finalizing schedule changes, if you notice any errors on your child's schedule, please reach out directly to their Assistant Principal and Counselor. We are here to help and will get it corrected as quickly as possible. Thank you for your grace and patience as we work through these final details. Arrival Times & Late Arrivals To help your child start their day feeling calm and ready to learn, please aim to arrive a few minutes early! Any student arriving after 8:15 AM will need to check in through the front office. Because breakfast service ends promptly at 8:15 AM, only students arriving on a late school bus will be able to grab breakfast after that time. Thank you so much for your help in getting our kiddos here on time! Arrival Locations & Traffic Flow Detailed arrival and dismissal maps are available on our website, but here is a quick guide on where to go: * Bus Riders: Drop-off is at the bus loop, and students will enter campus through the courtyard black gates. * Walkers: Please enter through the front white gates located off Tilley St. * Car Riders: Drop-off and pick-up will take place by the gym off Zach Scott St. * Bus Routes: To look up your child’s specific bus number, route, and stop times, please visit the AISD Bus Finder tool on the district website. |

As we kick off the new school year, our administrative team is actively working to ensure every classroom is fully supported. We are currently searching for candidates daily, interviewing, and partnering closely with our district offices to source qualified candidates, and securing fantastic long-term substitute teachers who are already familiar with our students and curriculum content as we continue to finalize our permanent hires. We are still actively looking to fill the following open positions: * Social Studies Teacher * Spanish Teacher * Art Teacher * SBS Teacher Our school community is filled with incredible families and supporters, and word-of-mouth is often our best recruiting tool. If you or someone you know would be a great fit for our team and campus culture, please have them reach out directly to me at gabriella.rodriguez@austinisd.org. We’re excited to kick off our annual Rams PTA “No-Fuss Fundraiser!” As a new PTA, we’re working hard to raise funds that will directly support our students, teachers, and school community throughout the year. The best part? There’s no wrapping paper, cookie dough, or products to sell! We’re simply asking families who are able to make a donation and help us reach our goal of $15,000. Your generous support will help us fund: Student field trips Student dances End-of-year celebrations School-wide events Student enrichment opportunities Teacher appreciation And MORE! The more money we raise, the more activities and opportunities we can provide for our Rams! Every donation—big or small—makes a difference, and we truly appreciate your support of our school and students. Ready to Donate? DONATE HERE – Rams PTA Fund Drive You can also scan the QR code on the attached flyer below. Thank you for helping us make this a fantastic year for our Rams!
